The city of Abderа (6th - 4th centuries BC):
In the light of archaeological research

Abstract. The article attempts to systematize archaeological research in the region of Abdera, one of the most significant ancient Greek apoikiai on the coast of the Aegean Sea between the rivers Hebros and Nestos (between the 6th and 4th centuries BC). The case of Abdera serves as an illustrative example of the Thraco-Hellenic relations in the outlined region during the culmination of state processes in Ancient Thrace and, respectively, in the Odrysian Kingdom.
